New Month New Challenge New Stuff

Today I went back to Rockn' Joe Cafe in Union to take down my artwork that's been on display for the past two months.  It was great to have my work on display for that long and in an area I never displayed before.   The owner Ted even bought two of my photographs which was great!  While I was there I got a chance to check out the next group of artists including Anna Polkowska which I bought 6" x 9" print of this painting:

I realized that its been one month since I last posted anything on here.  Some of it due to being unmotivated, being sucked into the game world of candy crush saga lol (up to level 51 now! lol), and thanksgiving stuff.  Now that its December and Christmas time I feel inspired again to post a new picture ever day until Christmas that is Christmas inspired!  I will be posting this in my take a picture section of my blog.

Lucky Mileage

The title says it all! I was lucky enough to be driving locally where I could pull over & take this shot! Next month will be 5 years since I got my car (aka Filippo Focus) & as you can see I've been doing a lot of driving! This car has been good to me so I'm hoping it will last a few more years!

Crafty Results

This is the result of my craft project from when I first posted about back on my take a picture post.

I made this table using orbit gum wrappers, black craft paint, & mod podge (lots of layer of it).

I actually finished the table a few months ago & just forgot to post the picture!

This was a fun project to do & makes me want to do more crafty thngs!

Zoo Times

Last Saturday (Aug 25th)  I went to the Bergen County Zoo with my mother & they had this exhibit that was going on through today!  You pay an extra $1 to walk in this exhibit with all these different butterflies flying around you!  It was really a cool experience, especially for someone like me who is not that fond of bugs.  For butterflies though I make an exception!  Here are a few of my favorite ones!

New Edition to Kermit Shirt Collecton

Well back in March (& a few days in April)  I did a Kermit shirt a day to see how many shirts I actually had.  Well last night I had to go to Walmart to get something & low & behold found another Kermit shirt that I didn't have.  So this makes #37 in my collection.  I only wish I found this back in March, oh well there is next year!

Fine Art America National Contest - need votes

I decided to enter this contest for a chance for my photos to be in a national TV commercial for Fine Art America (where I currently have my photos for sale).  If my photos reach 250 votes then they move on to the next round where it is eligible for a juried voting.  So far I only have 40 votes  for 2 photos and 49 for another one and need to get 210 votes by May 31st.

The Sebastian Sessions - Take 1

Well yesterday I adopted a cat (my first one) named Sebastian!   He is a short haired white cat with green eyes.  Ever since I saw the fancy feast commercial when I was younger, I've always wanted that type of cat (except I didn't want it to be a Persian cat).

Sebastian is so lovable & loves to be petted.   He is 11 1/2 years old so he is considered a senior cat.  He as abandoned two months ago & left in his carrier & through the microchip that is in him he was traced back to the shelter that he was originally from, the Mt. Pleasant Adoption in East Hanover, NJ.  I'm happy that I get to provide a good home for the golden years of his life!  He is also 18lbs & the shelter told me that he can lose a few pounds which hopefully he can do!

So now I'm venturing into catography and here are my first attempts at it, it is a challenge when your subject is in constant motion (even for a senior cat)!!

He loves this toy a lot!
